An Exploration of Finnegans Wake

Finnegans Wake is James Joyce’s final novel, a strange, wondrous, and lyrical language experiment that — more than most books — rewards multiple readings and careful analysis. The Wake is arguably less a book to be “read” in the standard way than a text to be explored and in which readers are invited to participate. This blog reports some of my insights that I have discovered on my journeys through the text.

William Blake’s Los prepares to enter the fallen world of the sleeping giant Albion; Blake’s Jerusalem bears many striking resemblances to Joyce’s Finnegans Wake
